The 4th of July.
We went grocery shopping and an employee asked the twins if they were having brisket and bbq for the 4th. Heh. Yeah, right. More like turkey breast and cucumbers.
Well, for me.
The twins had a turkey, broccoli, tomato, basil, parsley, feta & brown rice dish for lunch and dinner.
At breakfast they had scrambled eggs, breakfast peas, cherry & vanilla granola and a few blueberries.
Morning snack: Sliced apples w/ peanut butter (we are out of almond butter).
Afternoon snack: Fresh strawberries & homemade cacao sauce.
Mmm…
Me?
Turkey breast & cucumbers mainly.
Again.
But it paid off.
I still need to branch out a little and try new recipes.
While we were at the grocery, Brian asked me if I was “cheating” today. He had Taco Bell or hot dogs on the brain.
I considered it for about .0016 of a second, then said no. I’m SO proud of myself. I learned a valuable lesson w/ the past cheats! And a tough one at that.
This morning’s weigh-in: 123.4lbs. That’s a 0.6lb loss from yesterday’s weigh-in.
I also read last night that the closer you are to your ideal weight (I’m now within my range), the less you’ll lose. I wonder if that’s what’s happening to me now that I’m so close to my goal weight?
Anyone have any input?
How are you doing?
