This creamy, ultra-nutritious gluten- and dairy-free smoothie literally tastes like melted strawberry ice cream.
The avocado (yes, avocado!) makes it creamy and adds nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid.
Avocado also acts as a “nutrient booster,” enabling the body to absorb more fat-soluble nutrients.
If your kids aren’t fans of avocados, they won’t even know it’s an ingredient in this smoothie if you don’t tell them.
Trust me, they won’t taste any of the avocado’s flavor, but they’ll completely enjoy the creaminess that the avocado lends this nutrient-dense drink.
If you can’t bear to try avocado in this drink, you can easily substitute it with a banana. But I encourage you to try it! I’m pretty sure you’ll love it.
Sometimes I’ll throw in a handful of raisins or a pitted medjool date for extra sweetness. Today I added seven drops of Stevia.
- 2 Cups Frozen Strawberries
- 1/2 Medium Avocado
- 2.5-3 Cups Almond Milk (Depending on desired thickness)
- Stevia (to taste)
